We are looking for a Community Curator, whose key task will be to help unlock the unique social and industrial history of the communities associated with the Kent coalfield; primarily through collecting, documenting and caring for their heritage. This not only includes the Museum’s own collection but also those of our community partners across East Kent, for whom the post holder will provide curatorial support.
The post will suit someone who has had some curatorial experience, is passionate about working with communities and is looking to take the next step in their career. The post is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is offered as an 18-month fixed term contract (40 hours per week with occasional weekend working), with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Wednesday 21st March. Interviews will take place on 30th March 2018.
